In today’s fast-paced world, especially while living away from our homeland, it is important for our children to stay connected with their roots, language, culture, and values.

From year 2026 MMN started Sanskar Varg initiative.

Maharashtra Mandal Norway’s Marathi Shala (NMS) is delighted to offer two enriching programs for children –

    • Sanskar Varg (Ages 3+ and above) with two different batches Beginners & Advance.
    • Norway Marathi Shala (Ages 5+ and above)  – Looking for Marathi school for older children? More information can be found on this page.

Many of our children begin their educational journey in Norwegian environments from an early age. Sanskar Varg serve as a bridge between cultures, helping children embrace Marathi traditions alongside their Norwegian learning, creating a balanced and meaningful foundation for life.

What Children Will Learn in Sanskar Varg :

    •  Shlokas and Prayers (Prarthana)
    •  Focus, Discipline, and Positive Values
    •  Indian and Marathi Culture, Traditions, and Heritage

Session Details:

Sanskar Varg Online Classes are held every Tuesday and Thursday.

    • Beginners Group (Children aged 3 years and above): 6:00 PM – 6:30 PM
    • Advanced Group (Children aged 5 years and above): 7:00 PM – 7:30 PM

Requirements: Open to All | Free for All 

This initiative is open to everyone and is not limited to Maharashtra Mandal members. We warmly welcome all families who would like to give their children an opportunity to stay connected to Marathi language, culture, traditions, and sanskar.
Whether your child is fluent in Marathi or just beginning their journey, these programs provide a welcoming environment to learn, connect, and grow with fellow children in the community.
