From year 2024 MMN started Norway Marathi Shala initiative with the help of dedicated volunteer teachers. 

Vision and Mission:

• To instill love, pride, and confidence in children for their mother tongue.
• To nurture a strong and conscious generation by preserving cultural heritage through language.
• To foster affection and respect for the mother tongue in young minds.
• To make learning enjoyable and engaging, encouraging children to speak, read, and write with confidence with a cooperative and inspiring school environment.
• To provide opportunities for children to take pride in their language and culture.

Goals and Objectives:

• To develop proficiency in listening, speaking, reading, and writing in Marathi.
• To introduce biographies of notable figures from cultural, social, and historical perspectives.
• To explore the festivals, ceremonies, and traditions of Maharashtra.
• To engage with verses, songs, and nursery rhymes.
• To spark lifelong interests through entertaining and educational storytelling.

School curriculum:

• Curriculum tailored according to student number, age, and current language proficiency
• Development of communication skills and vocabulary on everyday topics
• Focus on foundational reading and writing skills
• Instruction in Marathi grammar
• Insights into the significance of Marathi festivals and Shloka recitation practice.

Age groups:

• Junior Batch: Ages 5 and above
• Senior Batch: Ages 10 and above

Teacher volunteers:

A seasoned team of educators with a passion for Marathi literature brings warmth and creativity to every classroom session. Known for their engaging storytelling and deep cultural knowledge, the team continues to inspire students to embrace their heritage. With diverse teaching backgrounds, they make language learning joyful and accessible for young learners.
